Dr. Edward Kusek

Dr. Kusek is a general dentist truly compassionate about continuing education and offering his patients the latest advancements in general dentistry. Born and raised in Omaha, NE, Dr. Kusek is a graduate of Creighton University, and received his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of Nebraska College of Dentistry in 1984. Upon graduation, Dr. Kusek established his practice in Sioux Falls, and has been serving the Sioux Falls area for over 24 years.

Dr. Kusek enjoys being very knowledgeable in the field of restorative and implant dentistry. He began placing and restoring dental implants in 1987, and is continually advancing techniques to restore healthy, natural smiles. He holds the title of Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology, one of approximately 300 worldwide. He also holds several other higher levels of distinction including Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry, Diplomate of the International Conference of Oral Implantologists, Mastership in the World of Clinical Laser Institute, and is an adjunct professor for the hygiene program at the University of South Dakota. Dr. Kusek is also a long time member of the American Dental Association. South Dakota Dental Association, and Southeastern Dental Society.

In 1995, Dr. Kusek completed training for conscious sedation at Miami Valley Hospital by Dr. Daniel Becker of Dayton, OH, one of the more rigorous trainings in the country.

Dr. Kusek began using laser dentistry in 2004, and has lectured nationally and internationally for organizations, such as the Academy of Laser Dentistry, the Academy of Implant Dentistry, Dentsply Friadant, and World Clinical Laser Institute. He has published five articles including: "Use of the YSGG Laser in Dental Implant Surgery", "High Technology in Implant Dentistry, Part I", and "High Technology in Implant Dentistry, Part II". Dr. Kusek is a clinical instructor for Biolase University (laser dentistry training).

Cindy Dellman: Dental Hygienist, Sioux Falls, SD

Cindy was raised in Valley Springs, now she lives on acreage just east of Sioux Falls. Cindy was trained as an assistant at Canby Vo-Tech before deciding Hygiene was the path for her. She has been practicing hygiene for 22 years. The last 3 years have been with our team. She received her Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene from USD. Cindy earned a fellowship in Laser Training from World Laser Clinic (WCLI). She says the most rewarding aspect of her career is helping people and utilizing the latest technologies.

In her spare time she enjoys doing anything outside, biking, gardening, horse back riding and reading.

Jeanette Miranda: Dental Hygienist, Sioux Falls, SD

Jeanette was raised in Southern Indiana. She moved to Sioux Falls in 2001. She has been in dentistry for 27 years; the last 5 have been with our team. She received her Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene from Indiana University at South Bend, where she also became a clinical instructor. Jeanette earned Fellowship on Diode Laser from World Clinical Laser Institute. She also received Dental Hygiene Implant Certification through ICOI. Among her many other accomplishments she also provided oral health instruction for new immigrants. Jeanette believes helping our patients strive for better oral health is the most rewarding aspect of her career!

In her spare time Jeanette loves reading, playing on the computer and exercising.

Judith Pastrano: Dental Assistant, Sioux Falls, SD

Judy was born in Rock Valley, Iowa and now resides in Sioux Falls.  She has a B.A. from Briar Cliff College in Sioux City Iowa.  Judy has been focused on the dental field for 19 years as a dental assistant; and the last 13 have been with our team.  She also received Dental Assisting Implant Certification through ICOI.
   Judy states that she loves working within an office that keeps up with technology, so we can offer our patients the best of care.  She also appreciates Dr. Kusek’s dedication to continuing education for the entire staff.  She says that she is thankful to be working with such a great staff and she knows that we have the BEST patients!

   In her free time Judy enjoys reading, quilting, movies, and exploring the Washington Pavillion.

Kristi Meyer: Dental Assistant, Sioux Falls, SD

Kristi was born and raised in Madison.  She now calls Sioux Falls her home.  Kristi has a B.S. in Graphic Arts / Web Design from DSU.  Kristi is currently attending Dental Assisting Classes at Southeast Tech and will graduate in May. She has been in the dental field for 2 ½ years and with our team for 1 year.    She received Dental Assisting Implant Certification through ICOI.  She says the best thing about this profession is being able to change fearful or hesitant people’s minds about dentists.  Now they actually enjoy coming to the dentist!

In her spare time she enjoys being with family, playing volleyball, hunting and fishing.

Vicki Neve: Business Office Assistant, Sioux Falls, SD

Vicki was raised in Ethan and now lives in Sioux Falls.  Vicki has been involved with many aspects of the dental field for 26 years; she was a clinical assistant for 5 years before moving to the business office.  She received Practice Management Implant Certification through ICOI.  She has been with our team for 13 years.  Vicki has helped hundreds of people afford the dental care that they deserve by assisting them in arranging comfortable payment options as well as maximizing dental insurance benefits.  She enjoys being part of such a quality and progressive practice!

In her free time, she enjoys reading, walking, singing, and spending time with her family.

Tina Simunek: Patient Care Coordinator, Sioux Falls, SD  

Tina was born and raised in Aberdeen, SD but now calls Sioux Falls her home.  She has been part of our team for 2 years. She received her bachelors in Psychology from SDSU and went on to receive an Associates degree in Therapeutic Massage. 
Being in the dental field for two years she finds the advancements and technology in dentistry amazing.  She has received Practice Management Implant Certification through ICOI.

She has two boys (3 years old and 5 months) and expecting another in August.  When she finds extra time she enjoys sleeping!
